Q- Main is a family owned company which commenced operations in 2002. Q-Main has a strong personal commitment to all customers by providing a quality and comprehensive property maintenance service, specialising in electrical substation, building maintenance and vegetation clearing at competitive prices.

Q-Main's Managing Director, Graham Laycock, offers extensive experience in all facets of general property maintenance and arboriculture services and has successfully managed long term contracts and numerous private sector jobs. This experience, in conjunction with trained and electrical authorised employees, provides an efficient service with maximum productivity.

By following stringent work practices, which incorporates health and safety policies, the business has extensively grown over a period of time, strengthening expertise, resources and equipment.

Integrated Management System Accreditation

Q-Main's integrated management system consisting of health & safety, environmental and quality is based on the Civil Contractors Federation management systems program which promotes the widely accepted Civil Construction Management Code. The Code covers the pertinent elements of Quality Assurance (ISO 9001-2008), Occupational Health & Safety (AS 4807-2001) and Environmental Management (ISO 14001-2004).

Q-Main has been independently audited by an approved JAS-ANZ third party Certification Body and has gained integrated management system accreditation. Certification to the Code demonstrates maintenance of an integrated management system that will reduce risk exposure, define project processed, improve project outcomes and promote work efficiency and savings.

Victorian Electricity Distribution Network (VEDN)

As part of the VEDN civil works criteria for underground electricity infrastructure projects, Q-Main is an accredited Civil Works Contractor (Number CW208) and is listed on the VEDN Approved Civil Contractors Register for civil works and worksite auditing.

Q-Main has a public liability insurance policy to the value of $20,000,000 and all employees are covered under Victorian WorkCover. All our vehicles, plant and equipment are fully comprehensively insured.

Our company provides programmed and an on-call property maintenance service incorporating new projects and repair work in all major building trades, such as air-condition, carpentry and joinery, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration. Trades personnel also perform fabricating, glazing, line-marking, painting, plastering, tiling and other tasks for our many varied customers.


Q-Main has recently introduced a new cloud based job management program to all field personnel.  It is an online job management system for businesses, such as Q-Main, with mobile employees. 

The system streamlines business processes such as job scheduling, quotes and time and materials tracking. 

It is a jobbing tool which specialises in simplifying job dispatch, work flows and has eliminated the need for paper-based job folders by utilising Samsung Tablets in the field in which new jobs can be dispatched to any number of field crew members within seconds.

Relevant job information such as SWMS/JSEA's, plans, drawings, photographs, specific job notes, etc can be attached to the job folder and accessed whenever and where ever required.

Our customers/clients can be set up to also have access to relevant GeoOp work folders in which the client can add, edit and review jobs given to us.
